The Sensory Dialogue: Meet the Vision Behind Assomma

Below is the interview content between myself and F, the founder of Assomma:

Q2: The Leather Crochet is your signature. Is it true that this technique has a very personal origin?

F: Yes, it’s deeply personal. While many brands look for industrial solutions, I looked back at my roots. My mother is a master of traditional crochet. We spent months experimenting together, trying to apply the logic of yarn crochet to structural leather. She eventually developed the specific tension-hold and interlocking nodes that define our current "Leather Crochet." It’s a bridge between her heritage and my minimalist aesthetic.

Q3: Assomma seems to reject "perfect" luxury. Why use Natural Milled Leather that shows its age?

F: Perfection is anxious; imperfection is relaxed. We use natural milled leather because it accepts "earthly imprints"—small scars, grain variations, and eventually, a beautiful Patina. I want our users to stop worrying about a single scratch and instead see their life’s narrative reflected in the material. It turns a durable good into an emotional heirloom.

Q4: "Scene Completion" is a unique business philosophy. Why not just sell individual pieces?

F: Because an object alone cannot change a mood, but a "Scene" can. Whether it's a desk setup or a bedside ritual, we design "Sensory Bundles" to help users complete their environment. It’s not about owning more; it’s about creating a cohesive sanctuary where every touchpoint feels intentional.
